51-52 Sloane Street

THE DEVELOPMENT 51-52 Sloane Street is located in one of London’s most exclusive neighbourhoods within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The property is just a short walk from Harrods and has views of the gardens and the luxury brands of Sloane Street. The address is home to two Victorian townhouses which were formally the base of the Peruvian Embassy in London.

Development is currently underway which will restore and retain the barley twist chimneys and exquisite carved brickwork of the frontage, whilst remodelling the interior. The redeveloped property will provide luxury retail, a restaurant and premium office space with improved accessibility, amenities, cycle parking, an electrical substation and new conservatory. The works are due for completion in the autumn of 2025.

THE BRIEF Embrace are no strangers to the challenges of working in the area having previously successfully completed projects including 197-199 Sloane Street, Durley House, One Sloane Gardens and 57 Sloane Gardens. As such we have a great reputation with The Cadogan Estate and working with McLaren Construction.

We were appointed to conceal and disguise the works to minimise the disruption in the prestigious neighbourhood during development works. Our client opted to use our end-to-end service, meaning we project manage and deliver at every stage including survey, permissions, creative design, print, installation, maintenance and ultimate removal & provision of reuse options for sustainability.

THE SOLUTION Our creative team delivered with a CGI trompe l’oeil design, faithfully recreating the Victorian façade in order to blend straight back in to the existing streetscape. On the lower level the print design included a canopy of carefully selected seasonal plants cascading on to the stylish and subtle branding below at street level.

We covered the main access scaffold with a giant building wrap installed using one of our face-fixed plus offset frame systems, complete with edge protection. For the site hoarding we installed printed durable ACP panels embellished with details of the property, Cadogan and a QR code linking to further details of the property.

The finished project really does trick the eye, and perfectly camouflages the building works. As you would expect with our fully managed service the entire project was delivered to schedule and – as we guarantee – on budget.
