The Beaumont, Mayfair

THE DEVELOPMENT The Beaumont is a privately-owned and independently run five-star hotel located in Brown Hart Gardens, a quiet square in Mayfair.

The hotel had an enforced closure due to general COVID safety restrictions, allowing the refurbishment and reorganisation of some of the public areas. The gentle evolution includes the launch of the new Le Magritte bar, The Gatsby Room lounge and sheltered outdoor dining terrace. The Art Deco interiors have been refurbished and reimagined to add luxury and comfort, a new Mayfair Suite has been introduced and the Beaumont Spa expanded.

THE BRIEF Whilst the hotel has now reopened some works are continuing to create an additional 25 new bedrooms and meeting space at the rear of the property which necessitate temporary accommodation cabins to remain in place for workmen.

Embrace were appointed to design, project manage and deliver a cabin wrap to disguise the unsightly cabins and instead present a vision of the future view on completion. We were responsible for creative design, assistance with submitting the planning application to display the wrap, providing engineer wind loading calculations, installing the offset frame, banner print and installation.

THE SOLUTION The design of the wrap was created our creative department from raw media assets supplied by the client. The forward-facing 4 x 13 metre section shows the front of the hotel’s Art Deco front façade with its new al fresco dining terrace viewed from Brown Hart Gardens. A further two 4 x 7 metre returns depict how this section of the hotel at the rear will look on completion in 2023.

The digitally printed cabin wrap measures 154 m2 in total and is secured using an offset frame installed in under a day and a half before the cabin wrap itself was installed in one further day.

Our client welcomed our choice of PVC-free material for the banner, an alterative to PVC substrates that delivers significant CO2, water, and oil equivalent eco savings.

The result was delivered on time and to budget, looks stunning and supports the reopening of the hotel looking better than ever. Embrace will maintain the look with the ongoing maintenance service until our return to remove the wrap when its job is done in 2023.
