‘That’s a wrap’ at the East London theatre by Embrace Building Wraps

Embrace Building Wraps have completed the installation of a giant 405 square metre self-adhesive vinyl building wrap covering the south elevation of The Theatre at Here East, located in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in East London. The Theatre occupies a dominant position in the bustling central landscaped forum known as The Yard at the multi-use campus.

The striking creative lifts the south elevation of the theatre which overlooks the vibrant meeting space. A 75 m2 interchangeable section has also been included that can be used to promote various events at the campus, installed using a slightly lower tack adhesive to allow swift removal when the featured messaging needs to be updated.

The majority of the wrap comprises of a high tack printed self-adhesive vinyl including a UV wash to ensure durability, longevity and ensuring a crisp and striking impact.

Greg Forster, Managing Director at Embrace Building Wraps commented:

“We do love a challenge! Whilst the project was under discussion for a while and indicative artwork on file we were ultimately asked to meet a very tight deadline. With our expertise and resource we mobilised the hit squad!

Within 18 days of receiving the request from the client we had carried out a full site measured survey, tested three different types of heavy duty self-adhesive vinyl on the cladding, printed the substrate, returned to site to clean and prepare the surface before carefully applying the print to the property.

We are delighted with the end result as the creative really enhances the focal zone of The Yard at Here East and we have received phenomenal feedback from our client.”
